I have been with Essexville Hampton Public Schools for 32 years. During this time, I've been fortunate to teach at Verellen Elementary, Cramer Junior High, and Garber High School. Currently, I am the junior high technology instructor, as well as, Garber High School's Programming and Design instructor. Areas of emphasis include; computer science, computer publishing, media technology, yearbook, a 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade elective that focuses on robotics, Google cloud technology, computer science, and digital citizenship.

I am a Central Michigan University graduate with post-graduate technology studies at Ferris State University and Saginaw Valley State University. My educational experience includes teaching in Portsmouth, England, and Alakanuk, Alaska. I have spent the last 30 years attending the MACUL (Michigan Association for Computer User in Learning) conference and have presented at MACUL, Hewlett Packard in Houston, Texas, our own Bay Arenac ISD's Professional Learning conference, and the Bay Arenac ISD's Fall Technology Conference on the use of educational technology.

To enhance the development of technology in our district, I have been a coach for the TRIG T3 Teacher Technology Training Readiness grant program, a member of our school district's curriculum and technology advisement teams, and continue to develop a greater understanding of emerging technologies; virtual reality, augmented reality, CAD and 3D printing.

I have been fortunate to take part in Code.org's CS Discoveries, CS Principles, Bootstrap: Data Science training programs. These programs promote and prepare our junior high and high school students for the AP Computer Science Principals coursework.

My professional goal is to enhance the learning process with the use of technology by eliminating barriers, creating meaningful content and experiences, allowing students to express individual creativity, and developing technology-related skills to become college and career-ready.
