"We live in a time when ‘image’ stands for speed, transience and superficiality. With my images – abstractions of the reality around me – I am seeking points of contemplation for both the viewer and myself. A sense of serenity frozen in time. A moment of reflection, emotion, recognition, surprise or amazement.
As an artist who creates drawings, paintings and portraits, I have discovered the infinite possibilities as well as the pitfalls offered by the computer. And it was during these discoveries, that what Goethe once said – ‘It is in self-limitation that a master first shows himself’ – took on new meaning.
