Lyle Vincent is a world renowned Cinematographer. To all his projects he has brought the keen eye of a visual story teller with the masterful use of making tangible and visceral what was once only ideas on paper through composition, movement, light, shadow and color.
Vincent was born in 1979 in Thompson Connecticut. He received his MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Film Making in 2006 and received the American Society of Cinematographers Heritage award the same year. His well known work includes the universally praised A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night directed by Ana Lily Amirpour as well as her follow up The Bad Batch, Staring Jason Mamoa, Suki Waterhouse, Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves and Giovani Ribisi, which won the 2016 Venice Film Festival Special Jury Prize. "Girl" premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival as well as MoMa's New Directors/New Films and went on with a theatrical release domestically and internationally. Vincent was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his masterful Black and White Cinematography. More recent work includes Thoroughbreds, Dreamland staring Margot Robbie, Bad Education on HBO staring Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney, Daniel Isn't Real, Kate on Netflix staring Marry Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson, and the highly praised HBO Max limited series The Staircasestaring Collin Firth and Toni Collette.
