I am an award-winning journalist, writer, editor, print enthusiast, part-time instructor of communication at Kennesaw State University in Georgia and grad student from the metro-Atlanta area. I specialize in long-form narrative journalism, investigative journalism, public interest journalism and comics journalism, often covering child welfare, the juvenile justice system and addiction. My graduate research explores journalism ethics, theories of literary journalism, advocacy journalism, new media, experimental story forms, comics journalism, and (visual) rhetoric Currently I am the Managing Editor for Digital News Operations at the Center for Sustainable Journalism. My work has appeared in Youth Today, the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, The Crime Report and Cartoon Movement, among others. My portfolio can be found here. Previously, I hosted a weekly video series recapping the top stories in juvenile justice. I dabble in photography, video, music and design. I love tech and getting my hands dirty on projects. I think words are spectacular.
