Ahmed Abouesh

As CEO of Therapeutic Solutions, Dr. Ahmed Abouesh leads a California mental health care practice that emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach. Therapeutic Solutions serves patients in two offices, one in Chico and the other in Yuba City, and the staff extends beyond psychologists and psychiatrists to include a nurse practitioner, social workers, and family and marriage therapists. Dr. Ahmed Abouesh strives to provide compassionate and individualized psychotherapeutic care that has a positive impact on patients' overall well-being.

Dr. Abouesh attended Cairo's Ain Shams University in preparation for his medical career. After earning his Baccalaureate of Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Abouesh served with the Egyptian Medical Corps for 15 months. In this capacity, he undertook medical care of 250 soldiers and provided treatment in emergency trauma situations. He subsequently underwent a urology residency at his alma mater, followed by residencies at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and a three-year psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Ahmed Abouesh completed his studies as a Forensic Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles.

From 2000 to 2003, Dr. Ahmed Abouesh was a Staff Psychiatrist with the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Danville. He handled treatment, evaluation, and diagnosis for patients with severe mental health issues. From 2003 to 2004, he served as Medical Director of the Psychiatric Unit at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital and practiced privately with Monticello Psychiatric Medicine in Kittanning, Pennsylvania.

A noted researcher, Dr. Ahmed Abouesh has assisted in numerous psychiatric studies. He notably served as Principal Investigator in the 1997 study "Paroxetine versus Medroxyprogesterone Acetate in the Treatment of Paraphilias." He maintains membership in the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
