Hello! I am a child of the 1960's, born in Crystal Palace and spent my teenage years in West Kent. I studied Electronics and Computer Science at Keele University, got a degree! I said no to a computer technical sales job in Winchester whilst saying yes to a DJ job in Waterford, Ireland. The BBC then offered me an interview for a technical job, by 1984 I was an Audio Assistant at Pebble Mill in Birmingham. I went veggie in 1986, and vegan in 1988 thanks to a band called Blab Happy based in Leicester where I had got a temporary job at BBC Radio Leicester. In 1989 I brought my vegan and dual football team supporting self (Palace and West Brom) to Nottingham and stayed at BBC Radio Nottingham until early 2021.

So, to the important stuff.....Music! I love it, and although I have most of Pink Floyd's albums ('Piper' up to 'The Wall') I fell under the spell of 80's bands like The Chameleons, Kitchens of Distinction and Lowlife, into the 90's The Orb, The Boo Radleys and My Bloody Valentine loomed large. These days, Flotation Toy Warning, The Avalanches, Broken Social Scene, Anna Meredith, Fred Again, Snail Mail and Highasakite are among my most listened to current artistes. Most likely listening to post rock, shoegaze, dream pop, electro or indie.

Straddling the 80's 90's 00's 10‘s and the 20's are the mighty Half Man Half Biscuit who probably, by dint of longevity and being brilliant, take the title of 'my all time favourite band'.

Other things that rattle around inside my brain include thoughts on politics, comedy, cooking, greyhounds (that's Cloud in the picture), cars, computers and Apple iDevices. But mainly it's bits of tunes until I can get the stereo on again.
