Alicia Patten

Results oriented team player with extensive experience in leadership, planning, and customer relation roles, seeking position that will broaden my horizons and prepare me with the knowledge necessary to be a productive addition to any organization.

A native of Westchester,NY, I currently reside in Jacksonville, FL attending graduate school at Jacksonville University. I completed my Bachelors degree at Drew University in Madison, NJ, majoring in Behavioral Science and double minoring in Spanish and Latin American Studies. While at Drew, I was nominated as co-chair for KUUMBA (Pan African Organization) and founded and served as captain of the Drew University Step Team for all four years of my collegiate career. This team, under my leadership received an award for being the best performing arts program. I also served as one of the founding members of the Drew Uganda Initiative, a civic engagement project that travels to Kampala, Uganda every summer to build classrooms for a local primary school. I tried to diversify myself with as many extracurricular activities as I could, while maintaining exemplary grades and placing on the Dean's List. My professional background varies with experience in the legal field, banking, project development, coordinating, mentoring/tutoring, and education.

I have recently completed a Masters degree in Education with a concentration in Instructional Leadership and Organizational Development. This Master's degree develops the mindset of an individual as well as provides proper strategic tools needed to help an organization improve both internally and externally.

I hope to apply the many life and professional experiences that I have gained and the skills I have developed, to serve as a useful and effective member to any organization that provides me the opportunity.
