Amrita Dutta-gupta

Amrita Dutta-Gupta has amassed a number of accomplishments over the last decade in both professional positions and during her time as a student. She obtained her Master of Business Administration in 2011 from Vanderbilt University, where she garnered distinction as a Cal Turner Program for Moral Leadership in the Professions fellow. Dutta-Gupta also served as president of the Global Business Association and demonstrated her capacity for international management by winning the Flournoy A. Coles Jr. Prize from the Owen Graduate School of Management. Before entering her MBA program, Amrita Dutta-Gupta gained invaluable experience with several companies. She began her career as event coordinator with the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. In this role, Dutta-Gupta developed marketing materials to increase event attendance by as much as 50 percent, and she negotiated vendor contracts to save on transportation and lodging costs for speakers. In 2004, Amrita Dutta-Gupta transitioned to become co-owner and business development executive at Paramount Solutions, where she sought out strategic partnerships, examined profit and loss statements, and was responsible for budgeting. Notably, Dutta-Gupta grew the customer base by 100% in her second year with the firm. Upon enrolling in Vanderbilt University for graduate school, Dutta-Gupta supplemented her coursework with a series of internships and consulting positions, lending her insights to entities such as TruGreen, Hanes Brands Inc., Sitel, and StudioNow. In her leisure time, Amrita Dutta-Gupta enjoys all manner of recreational activities, including traveling, photography, and playing sports. She contributes some of her resources to charitable organizations such as the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Red Cross, and American Cancer Society.
