Amy Andren

Accounting professional Amy Andren attended the University of Saint Mary in Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration.

Ms. Andren operates as an interim accounting professional, assisting finance groups with special projects or year-end and audit assignments. As an interim accounting manager, Andren has worked with multiple companies on short term contracts, making her adept at hitting the ground running and taking a hands-on approach to the variety of accounting challenges she may discover at a particular company. Amy Andren has consulted for several private companies, including medical device and biotech start-ups, as well as non-profit organizations, sole proprietorships, and internet-based companies.

Prior to 2009, Andren held senior accounting roles at Hansen Medical and Sunpower. As Hansen Medical's accounting manager from 2006 to 2008, she managed the general accounting group, which included payables, receivables, general ledger, fixed assets, payroll, and international accounting. She assisted management in leading the accounting group from a startup through the IPO process. Amy Andren also helped the company come into compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley financial regulations and filled in wherever the company needed her expertise.

At Sunpower, where she worked from 2005 through 2006, Amy Andren held the title Senior Accountant and performed similar duties. She also was responsible for the transactions related to the consolidation of five different business entities, which included international subsidiaries. In addition, she maintained the company stock option accounting tracking system, and coordinated physical inventories of the company's products.
