Amy Phillips
STEM Teacher and Former Instructional Technology Coach in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in Education and from Emporia State University with a master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology.
I taught 4th and 5th grade for 6 years in Putnam City Schools in Oklahoma City. I was Teacher of the Year for my campus and nominated for Outstanding Technology Educator for the Oklahoma Technology Association in 1999.
I moved to Texas in 2000 and became an Instructional Technology Coach in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. I provided staff development in technology integration and worked with teachers and students to transform their classrooms. I specialize in the areas of iPads, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and all things Google for elementary students and teachers.
I'm a Google Certified Educator (Levels 1 and 2), a Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer, and have presented at the Texas Computer Education Association and Oklahoma Technology Association conferences as well as various regional mini-conferences.
I'm currently designing and teaching the STEM elective course for 6th grade students at Deer Creek Intermediate School where I was named Teacher of the Year for the 20-21 school year.
