Randy Turner

Dedicated to his profession, his clients, and his community, attorney Randy Turner serves as a founding partner in the law firm of Turner & McKenzie, PC. Prior to spearheading his current practice since 2008, Randy Turner spent 28 years as a lawyer and legal partner at Russell & Turner, LLP, a Fort Worth, Texas-based firm. A member of the State Bar of Texas, Turner belongs to such professional legal organizations as the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and The College of the State Bar of Texas. He began his career in 1980, after earning his Juris Doctor from the St. Mary’s University School of Law and passing the Texas State Bar Examination. An expert in animal law, attorney Randy Turner currently chairs the Animal Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. He commits significant attention in his private practice to animal advocacy. In demonstration of his commitment to the legal protection of animals, Randy Turner serves as a volunteer attorney for organizations including Animal Angels, the Companion Animal Protection Society, the Animal Guardians of America, and the Animal Legal Defense Fund. In addition to his legal service, Randy Turner has volunteered in the community as a pilot and board member of Fly the Kids, Inc.; as a committee member for Arborlawn United Methodist Church; and as a worker for the Fort Worth area Habitat for Humanity. Randy Turner previously served as President of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, Vice President of the Humane Society of North Texas, and Board Member of the Historic Park Hill Neighborhood Association. Honoring his many professional achievements, Texas Monthly magazine recently named Randy Turner a Texas Super Lawyer for the third consecutive year, while Fort Worth, Texas magazine designated him a Top Attorney in both 2009 and 2010. Previously, Turner received West Texas Legal Services’ inaugural Outstanding Small Law Firm Award, in acknowledgment of his pro bono work on behalf of those with limited income. Additionally, Randy Turner's legal practice was recently featured in the Dallas Observer and the Lewisville Leader. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, flying, and scuba diving.
