New York, Ny, Usa

Originally from Turkey and a civil engineer, New York City-based culinary entrepreneur Aytac Nural has co-owned and managed AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar since its inception in 2007. Prior to establishing AYZA, Aytac Nural acquired experience in various food service roles at premier New York City dining establishments. He has worked as a bookkeeper for restaurateur Charles Masson’s La Grenouille, and he held a position at Bella Luna, where he received tutelage in restaurant ownership and management from proprietor Turgut Balikci.

Over the last seven years, Aytac Nural has utilized his past experience in the competitive New York City culinary market to ensure the continued success and growth of AYZA, which the owners promote as New York’s only true chocolate restaurant. After establishing AYZA’s first restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, he has led the expansion of the niche dining brand to a second location in the West Village. Aytac Nural continues to draw loyal patronage from the city’s gourmands, as well as features in publications like the New York Times, by curating a distinctive menu filled with exotic offerings, such as five signature chocolate martinis, chocolate pizzas, artisanal truffles, tapas, and a vast selection of wines.

When he is not busy at AYZA, Aytac Nural enjoys outdoor activities, including long-distance running, hiking, scuba diving, and riding his motorcycle. He also follows the Turkish soccer club Fenerbahce.
