Recently I have relocated in Munich. Back to my roots in science journalism and science communication.
Up to the end of 2024 I was Managing Director at the National Institute for Science Communication, NaWik, in Karlsruhe, Germany. The Institute offers diverse courses in science communication for scientists and scicomm professionals – from basics to special skills from social media or writing – from giving interviews to risk communication and more.
I have a post-graduate diploma in chemistry and a background of nearly two decades as a science writer. Social media for scientists are ideal for direct interaction and dialogue with the public or at an interdisciplinary level. So I launched and established Scienceblogs.de in Germany in 2007 and I worked as a social media consultant for several Laureate Meetings - the Nobel Week Dialogue, the Heidelberg Laureate Forum and the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.
