Bernard Poulin

Since 1972, Bernard Poulin has worked as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The S.M. Group International, which offers services focused on helping clients manage projects with an emphasis on the impact these programs will have on the community.
The S.M. Group International, which Mr. Poulin established while he was an undergraduate student at the University of Sherbrooke, works with public and private clients in the value engineering, travel management and safety, construction management, environmental monitoring, and other professional sectors. Bernard Poulin’s company also provides asset management and system and network integration services.
Bernard Poulin, a graduate of the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration’s Owner/President Management Program, attended additional classes in international business and financial management at Harvard Business School and George Washington University. The New Jersey City University later granted Bernard Poulin an honorary degree, and he was selected to be the President of the Harvard Alumni Association in Montreal, Quebec. The New Jersey City University presented Mr. Poulin with its Global Leadership Award in 2010, and he has helped the school identify areas of strategic growth and partnership opportunities with international entities that would further the prospects of enrolled students and alumni.
A supporter of the arts, Bernard Poulin helped the Longueuil Symphony Orchestra raise more than $3 million as its Fundraising Captain from 2007 to 2009.
He also produced a feature film, starring his wife, titled Beauty and the Breast. This film examines the issues that women with breast cancer go through after they are diagnosed.
Additionally, Poulin is one of the founders of the "Musée des Beaux-Arts" of Sherbrooke and an one of Drawing Society Canada's honorary member.
Poulin also serves as honorary president of the organizational committee of Vinum & Musica (an annual event for the Concours Musical International de Montréal), and as one of the Entrepreneur of the Year award's regional judge in Canada.
Bernard Poulin is also the honorary chairman of the charity campaign "rebuild hope" from Père Dehoux in Haïti.
Furthermore Bernard Poulin is the President of the fundraising campaign for the "Youth Quebec Mission 2010-2013" project, which promotes musical arts.
