Powered by lattes, motivated by Milanos, and inspired by the majestic view of Pikes Peak, Bev has churned out hundreds of published pieces since she began freelancing in 1997.

Bev's work has appeared in numerous publications, both online and offline. Her first piece was published in 1982 before the age of 18. Her article on online promotion appears in Writer's Online Marketplace: How & Where to Get Published Online (Writer's Digest Books), edited by Debbie Ridpath Ohi. She is featured in Going Solo: How to Survive and Thrive as a Freelancer by Bobbi Linkemer.

Her first nonfiction book, Sun Signs for Writers, was published by Writer's Digest Books in August 2006. She has since published several books, including Shadows of the Soul, Secrets of the Professional Freelancer, Aim To Write: Tips & Tricks for Freeing the Scribe Within, and Nocturnal Musings: Collected Stories, Essays, and Poems.

Writing under the pen name of Star Ferris, she published her first fiction book, Mending Fences, with Whiskey Creek Press in September 2006. Her contemporary romance, Hidden Fire (Whiskey Creek Press), was published June 15, 2009.

She is also co-author of The Complete Writer: A Guide To Tapping Your Full Potential (Red Engine Press).

Bev's nonfiction work has been represented by the Meredith Bernstein Literary Agency in New York City since January 2005.

In April 2013, she launched )0( Triple Crow Publishing )0(, a small and selective eBook publisher based in Colorado Springs, CO. She is also the owner of Abraxas Writing & Editing Services .

She lives with her husband, daughter, two cats, three dogs, and one dove in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Nocturnal by nature, she keeps vampire's hours and finds the call of the Muse in the dark of night.

Bev's favorite authors are Stephen King, Haruki Murakami, David Foster Wallace, Jon Ronson, David Sedaris, & Neil Gaiman, among others.

When she's not writing or reading, Bev loves movies, music, World of Warcraft (Alliance!), crocheting, and investigating the paranormal.
