Founded in 1930 as the first honor society for women at San José State University (membership opened to men in the 1970s).

We value connection -- with each other, our campus, our alumni, our community. We develop meaningful, lifelong friendships. We work, have fun, and learn together. We create great memories. We cherish our history and traditions.

We value service. We strive to enrich the University community and learn about the world beyond our campus through service. We continue lifelong service as alumni, becoming leaders in our professions and communities.

We value scholarship. We honor our members for academic achievement and encourage lifelong learning.

We value leadership. We offer members the opportunity to exercise initiative and develop leadership and group skills.

We value tradition. We bring together students from across the campus. We are limited to 13 members each academic year. We foster learning and leadership and friendship. We offer continuity through our alumni group.
