Brian K Waite

Brian K. Waite serves as the United States Navy Chaplain Corps’ Exchange Officer to the Canadian Forces in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and as a liaison to the Royal Canadian Navy. The Chaplain Corps is comprised of individuals who are both Naval Officers and members of the clergy. The officers promote the spiritual, religious, moral, and personal well-being of both the Navy and the United States Marines Corps. The chaplains come from Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Buddhist, Muslim, and Jewish backgrounds. Chaplain Brian K. Waite received his Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages from the Southwestern Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas, his home state. Prior to his current role, Brian K. Waite earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Criswell College in Dallas, Texas, and a Master of Business Administration from Trident University, based in Cyprus, California. A Lieutenant Commander, Mr. Waite has served both the Marine Corps and the Navy in various tours. He served in the Naval Submarine Squadron Two, Naval Submarine Support Command, and the Fleet Operational Ministry Center. As Lieutenant Commander, Brian K. Waite served as Deputy Director of the Ministry Center, where he oversaw the placement of 23 chaplains and 14 religious program specialists globally. Additionally, Mr. Waite spent time in Okinawa, Japan, with the 3rd Marine Division and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, with the 2nd Marine Division. Over the course of his military career, Brian K. Waite earned the Meritorious Service Medal with gold star, the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal with silver star and Combat V, the Air Force Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon. In addition to his position with the Chaplain Corps, Brian K. Waite enjoys staying active by running and working out. An avid reader, his favorite books include The Odyssey, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and Summa Theologica.
