Buata Bawihtlung
Farmer in Aizawl, India
About Me
Hey there! I’m not exactly tall and thin, but I’ve got plenty of energy. With my black chinky eyes, short black hair, and no facial hair, I’m a lively husband and dad with a few kids to keep me on my toes.
I was born and raised in Khandaih Veng, Phullen (formerly Khandaih), in the charming village of Awksarala, as the son of Vanphunga Sailo.
Growing up, I dove into all kinds of rural adventures. From farming techniques like Lovah, Thlam Sak, Buhtuh, Hlothlawh, and Buh Seng to mastering traditional handicrafts, I’ve seen and done it all.
Now that I'm living in the city, though, I don’t get much of a chance to use those old skills, and I worry I might forget what I’ve learned.
I have a serious aversion to deceit and covetousness—righteousness and faithfulness are important virtues to me. I understand that true wealth isn’t about money.
I know I’m not the best or the most talented, but I always give my all in everything I do. Hard work has its ups and downs, but I’m all in. I believe everyone has their own strengths and deserves respect.
While I appreciate the finer things in life—money, nice houses, and all that jazz—I also hold life itself, along with mental and physical health, in the highest regard.
Back in the day, I loved hanging out with friends and having a good time. These days, though, I’m all about the cozy life at home, thanks to my amazing wife.
So, whether it’s belting out a tune (not that I’m a singer) or jotting down my thoughts on my blog (not that I’m a writer), I’m just enjoying the ride and making the most of it!
