Thank you for taking the time to check out more about me.

I am an avid learner with a thirst for information and knowledge that was not always the case. I struggled through my formal school years managing to complete my leaving certificate but admittedly not passing it. Shortly afterwards I got a place on a commercial course and began my working career as a general secretary and book-keeper. Since then I have worked in a variety of roles within the SME and corporate world developing competencies in HR, sales, marketing, finance, training, coaching, management and innovation. This experience opened up an interest in further education and currently I am doing a MSc in Business and Management (expected in 2014).

On a personal level life has always been very interesting for me and despite my humble upbringing and identity loss when I was 18, I have been a survivor, a strong-minded person that believes in getting the most out of life despite the odds. Over the last couple of years my mental health has been challenged with the stresses and anxieties of been a passenger on the celtic tiger rollercoaster however my focus has remained on the ball to see what I can do today that will create an opportunity tomorrow.
