A construction engineering specialist with Kirk Engineering in Missouri, Charles Harrison Chandler designs and builds small houses on movable trailers as part of the Tiny House Movement, which promotes downsizing for financial and environmental concerns. The homes he builds are typically between 100 and 400 square feet. Dedicated to staying on top of new tiny house design techniques, he regularly attends events about building and living in small homes. Charles Harrison Chandler studied engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology, during which time he completed a construction management internship with Grayfield Construction.

Outside of work, Mr. Chandler enjoys traveling. He took a wine and cuisine tour of British Columbia, and has gone wilderness camping in Washington’s Olympic National Park. Additionally, he backpacked in the Denali National Park and kayaked and backpacked in South America. For a brief time, he lived in Buenos Aires while completing a development and a Spanish language program. A dedicated member of his community, he has volunteered with the Windy City Habitat for Humanity and assisted with neighborhood renewal and the building of playgrounds.
