Charles Modiano

Charles Modiano has dedicated much of his career to supporting career and youth development programs in the United States and abroad. As President of Career Skills for Youth, Modiano has had the opportunity to assist workforce training programs in urban, rural, and international communities including Afghanistan, Macedonia, and Kosovo. With 20 years of experience in his field, Charles Modiano possesses considerable expertise in the areas of career readiness, youth development, career placement, employer engagement, and employee retention.

Early in his career, Charles Modiano served Jamaica, New York-based organization Safe Space as its Director of Employment and Independent Living Services. During his six years with Safe Space, Modiano supported a number of projects and initiatives, such as the STRIVE, Summer Youth Employment, Workforce Investment Act training programs, and and career initiatives for young people transitioning out of foster care.

In 2000, Modiano joined the Office of Workforce Investment of the United States Department of Labor as a Workforce Analyst with the Division of Youth Services. His duties in this position included providing key support to the Youth Opportunity Grants and Youth Offender Demonstration Projects. Modiano has also served the National Partnership for Community Leadership as the Project Director of the National Youth Development Practitioners Institute, where he delivered training to hundreds of youth development professionals.

Concurrent with his duties at Career Skills for Youth, Charles Modiano is also pursuing of his Master’s degree. He holds Bachelor of Art degrees in Social Sciences and Psychology from the University of New York at Stony Brook.
