Claudia Amezcua

I'm a journalist with a bad social media obsession.

I was once told I was a true Renaissance woman because I couldn't decide which medium I enjoyed the most. Whether its on air, via the web or print, I can tackle any story that comes my way.

My best work includes news, music, culture, technology and feature stories. As a young journalist i've quickly embraced the 21st century way of covering the news and will make it my mission to help any news outlet move forward into the future, one Tweet or Post at a time.

I manage my own sports blog (chicksguide2sports.com) that helps women understand sports, one woman at a time. While writing entertainment and leisure articles for InlandEmpire.com. I occasionally step in as an assignment desk editor monitoring local affiliate feeds, write scripts and edit footage for the Show Biz Now feed, and help manage the digital library for the CNN Los Angeles Bureau. Recently, I have moved into social media and branding for KFON the local community channel for the City of Fontana.

I currently chair the @SPJGenerationJ committee where I collaborate with journalists in sharing our experiences with young journalists in their early stages of their careers.

When i'm not wearing my journalism hat I enjoy: baseball, music, art, traveling, fashion, reading, social media, my chihuahuas, and performing solo concerts in my car.
