Dan Papajcik

An Account Executive at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife), Dan Papajcik offers extensive consultation to large employers in Michigan and Ohio. Through MetLife, Dan Papajcik has provided companies with insurance or insurance alternatives for their employees, covering a population of more than 109,000 employees combined. He is a Certified Financial Planner (tm) and a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants. After earning his Juris Doctor from the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University, Dan Papajcik joined the U.S. Army as a Judge Advocate. His first assignment was at the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, where he served as Chief of Legal Assistance. In this capacity, Dan Papajcik helped clients with a wide range of personal legal issues. He drafted estate documents, credit shelters trusts, and special need trusts for the financial benefit of clients and their heirs. Dan Papajcik negotiated on behalf of his clients with creditors and property owners in civil disputes. Under Dan Papajcik's leadership, the office won the U.S. Army Chief of Staff Award for Excellence for performing within the top 10 percent of all offices Army-wide. As a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Dan Papajcik augmented his experience in legal assistance with courtroom practice, serving as lead prosecutor before federal trial courts and magistrates court. Dan Papajcik rose to the rank of Captain with the Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. In his later assignments, Dan Papajcik held a number of positions, including contract attorney adviser, administrative attorney, labor counsel, and trial counsel. During his time as a Judge Advocate, Dan Papajcik supervised and personally handled criminal prosecutions. In addition to advising the government regarding numerous employment law cases, Dan Papajcik also represented the Army before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Merit System Protection Board (MSPB), and the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA). Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has appointed Dan Papajcik as Associate Adjunct Professor responsible for heading the Legal, Ethical, and Regulatory Bases of Management Practices class in the school's Masters of Science in Management program.
