I graduated from then Salem State College (now University) in Salem, Massachusetts from the Geography program with a B.S. in Cartography / GIS. Thanks to the encouragement of one of my professors, Steven Young, I applied for an internship with a startup remote sensing firm and was accepted. I spent the subsequent ten years in that field between a pair of start up aerial imagery firms. I am proud to have been part of their team building experiences.

Currently I am the GIS manager for a local environmental consulting firm and enjoy exploring the ever changing products the industry offers. I especially enjoy scripting and programming in python and javascript. As technology moves ever forward it is hard to keep up sometimes but standing still is not an option. I am very fortunate to again have an incredible team around me.

When I'm not developing map products for our utility engineers I love to ride my bike. I participate in brevets which are long distance (200k -600k) rides for which credit is issued on the number of kilometers accumulated in a given season. I have begun racing am enjoying the new challenge it presents and rewards it offers. Among them: the chance to meet and learn from some amazing people.
