David B Henkle

Accomplished civil engineer David B. Henkle recently spearheaded a series of design and construction projects for AECOM, a global technical and professional support services provider, out of its offices in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Between 2005 and 2011, Mr. Henkle's contributions to the company involved senior management responsibilities during several projects, including a flood-control effort at two Lake Cataouatche pump stations in Avondale, Louisiana. David B. Henkle also held the title of Department Manager during the Florida Avenue Bridge design and construction project in New Orleans as well as several other projects.

Mr. Henkle also served as Group Project Manager of the I-595 Corridor Improvement Project in Broward County, Florida, during his time with AECOM. His authority during the project extended to the coordination of roadway alignments, structures, and other comprehensive planning aspects. While managing more than 20 professionals assigned to the project, he synthesized quality standards and requirements across varies different aspects of the project, final contract plans, and documented project procedures, as well as attended weekly meetings with clients and other senior management personnel.

Prior to leading design and construction projects for AECOM, David B. Henkle served in the role of Senior Supervising Engineer at Parsons Transportation. Between 2001 and 2003, he held management responsibilities for several structures involved in a construction project at the I-25 and I-225 interchange segment in Denver. As a member of the senior management team in charge of coordinating logistics and structural standards for the project, Mr. Henkle led an interdisciplinary group responsible for reconfiguring the original design according to ROW and clearance constraints. His contributions during the reconfiguration process resulted in a cost savings of $1.5 million.

Before finding placement with Parsons Transportation, Mr. Henkle served as Senior Supervising Engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas in Las Cruces, New Mexico. For over two years, from 1999 to 2001, he oversaw the highway-reconstruction project involving 11 miles of work on I-70 near I-25. Other professional positions that he maintained in his career include Senior Structural Engineer at Plains Engineering, Inc., in Lakewood, Colorado, as well as for Parsons Transportation on the I-15 design/build project in Salt Lake City, Utah.
