David Duran began his career in journalism contributing to political columns in local newspapers in swing States during the '04 election cycle. After blogging for several sites, he focused his skills on LGBT topics and quickly was submitting to publications in the UK. Currently, he is working for the Bay Area Reporter in San Francisco as a news journalist and has a syndicated monthly business column in various publications including the B.A.R., Out, The Advocate and gay.net. Including those already mentioned, he also contributes frequently to the Huffington Post. From time to time, David also submits as a guest blogger for several online publications and speaks to aspiring journalists about the LGBT presence in mainstream media.
