David Recor recently managed the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, where he served as Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer. He developed a five-year Strategic Plan based on town priorities set forth by the Mayor and City Council and implemented specific action items accordingly. Orchestrating the efforts of more than 1,500 municipal employees, David Recor guided an initiative to improve communication between public safety agencies and to renovate and construct new facilities for the Fire Department and Peach Patrol units. In addition, he created a schedule for capital improvements based on the results of a Water and Wastewater Rate Study.

David Recor belongs to the Urban Land Institute, the American Planning Association and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) where he is a Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM). For his continued service in the public sector, he received the 25-Year Service Award from ICMA in September 2014.

In his leisure time, David Recor enjoys a variety of interests including the Dave Matthews Band, golf and college football. He supports the University of Florida Gators and enjoys following the team’s competition in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). An outdoor enthusiast as well, he frequently plans offshore fishing excursions to the Gulf Stream and enjoys blue-water spearfishing and diving in the Bahamas.
