A brand evangelist at heart, I had the great good fortune to learn the Brand Communications|Public Relations business working under the tutelage of a veteran BBC journalist and luxury marketing PR man, and the former Deputy Press Secretary to President Ford.

For almost 15 years, we developed and directed nationally award-winning integrated brand communications campaigns for some of the world's most prestigious companies and brands including: U.S. Trust Wealth Management, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., Beck's Beer, Revlon, Parker Pen, Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars, Shipman & Goodwin LLP, United Distillers, Praxair Regional Heart and Vascular Center at Danbury Hospital, and Rockefeller & Co., Inc. to name a few.

Over two decades, I launched and directed a profitable seven-figure Consumer PR Division of Earle Palmer Brown advertising agency. Subsequently, I was hand-picked to launch the PR Division of Creative Partners, a boutique ad agency in Stamford, Connecticut, and built it to over $1 MM in revenues as one of Southern Connecticut's fastest growing mid-sized PR "agencies to watch.'"

In 2007, I launched my brand and communications strategy agency, Burns Communications, LLC. My agency was profiled in VENU, one of the nation’s leading culture and art magazines in 2017, and I was named a Powerful Woman in Business with a full page feature in The Fairfield County Business Journal in 2019.
