"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music" -Nietzche

My name is Dillon Thomas. I am 21 years old. I was a gymnast for 8 years and began dancing on a competition team when I was 10. I recently graduated The Lee Strasburg Institute of Theater and Film Intensive Program. I was previously a student at Broome Community College focusing on Liberal Arts and taking acting, history of theater and dance classes. I got involved with the college theater program and performed in several plays.

"DLite" is the name I use as a Lite Feet dancer. Lite Feet is a NYC Born battle dance and YouTube phenom. Lite Feet is more then a dance style or passing trend, it has become a community of young dancers who share a passion to dance, identify with a Lite Feet dancer name and are members of a Lite Feet Dance crew. You Tube has promoted the Lite Feet dance community and enabled dancers from across the country to share video, connect and form friendships. Lite Feet has become a positive, inclusive, fun and competitive activity that can change a community. I know because it changed mine.

My entire life as a gymnast, a dancer, host and Emcee of Lite Feet events and, since I was 16, a USA Gymnastics certified coach, (one of the youngest in NY State) have all became the catalysts that helped me realize I have a profound passion for performing.

At 21 years old, I have been a state champion athlete, a community organizer, a role model for my community youth, a gymnastic coach for 4 years all while keeping my academics a priority, graduating with honors and now having attended The Lee Strasburg Institute of Theater and film. I am no longer employed at the gym but have developed strong relationships with my team and work independently with them on occasion,

I am ready for new challanges. I am ready to take the next step and pursue opportunity as a professional dancer, model and actor. I learned early that life can throw you curve balls, but what seems like a train derailed may simply be an opportunity to take a new track, if your open minded and can adapt, then I believe you can be successful and happy. I feel my life has prepared me for this transition. Performing is not what I do, being a performer is who I am.
