Mike Tucker

Mike Tucker, a two-time winner of regional Emmy Awards for writing and producing, creates distinctive print, broadcast and online products through his company, Tucker Multimedia, and teaches a communications seminar in the Capitol Hill Internship Program. He earned his M.A. from George Mason University and a B.A. from Brooklyn College. Tucker, a former assistant professor of journalism at Howard University, has reported and edited for The Detroit News and USA Today. His broadcast credits include writing and producing documentaries and teleplays for WHUT-TV and WUSA-TV. He is a former press secretary in the U.S. Congress and was a fellow at Jackson State University in Mississippi and the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Fla.
