Don Steigman

Don Steigman possesses a distinguished career in senior management positions in the healthcare industry. Don offers the insight and knowledge garnered from a successful career spanning over 25 years to a variety of healthcare institutions. Don currently serves as EVP and COO at Jackson Health System in Miami. In a notable example of his role as a Consultant, Don Steigman served as interim CEO for a large healthcare company. Under Don Steigman’s leadership, the company quickly acquired four hospitals. Prior to working as a consultant, Don Steigman served as a Senior Vice President for over a decade with Tenet HealthSystem. As Senior Vice President for the entire Florida and Alabama region, Don Steigman was responsible for the operations of over 15 acute care hospitals, a rehabilitation hospital, and numerous non-hospital entities in both states. Possessing in-depth knowledge of the management of these highly complex organizations, Don Steigman held responsibility for the integration of services among all hospitals. During his outstanding tenure, Don Steigman was credited with significant accomplishments, including the formation of Tenet South Florida HealthSystem, the largest healthcare provider in the area; the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Under Don Steigman’s leadership, his region achieved the highest ratings for numerous quality indicators in the entire Tenet network. In addition, five of six of the interventional cardiac centers were honored with recognition by the UnitedHealth Premium Program Cardiac Network under Don Steigman’s stewardship. Graduating from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Systems and Management Science, Don Steigman went on to The George Washington University, where he earned an M.B.A in Health Care Administration.
