Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Andrew Collier serves as a physician partner and orthopaedic surgeon at Philadelphia Orthopaedic Associates in Philadelphia, PA. Passionate about helping people regain mobility, he has won Patients’ Choice Awards in 2008, 2009, and 2013 for his practice focused on knee, hip, and joint replacement, as well as arthroscopic surgery. Complementing his work as a physician and surgeon, Dr. Andrew Collier also serves the Philadelphia, PA, medical community as a clinical instructor of orthopaedic surgery at PCOM and Thomas Jefferson University. Additionally, he will soon take over as director of orthopaedic medical education at Jefferson University Hospitals’ Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Collier graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of arts in developmental biology. For the next three years thereafter, he studied at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara Medical School in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he founded and served as president of the Nuestra Senora de la Merced Free Medical Clinic. Upon returning to the United States, he earned a medical degree from Rutgers Medical Schools and completed a residency in orthopaedics and surgery at Temple University Hospital.

Outside of his work in orthopaedics, Dr. Collier enjoys taking skiing trips. A skier from the age of 10, he has taken a skiing expedition through Austria and Switzerland and skis across the United States in states including Utah, Colorado, Vermont, and New York.
