Dr Fareed Ali

After earning his medical degree with honors from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Fareed Ali completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Toronto, followed by a fellowship in diseases of the retina at Harvard Medical School. In his subsequent career as an ophthalmologist, he has pioneered the development of intraocular anti-VEGF therapies and micropulse laser technologies for the treatment of central serous retinopathy and dry macular degeneration. Active in his field, Dr. Fareed Ali affiliates with a number of professional medical groups in Canada and the United States, including the Association of Ontario Ophthalmologists, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Canadian Ophthalmology Society.

Since 2001, Dr. Fareed Ali has treated patients experiencing a wide variety of retinal diseases at OCC (Ophthalmic Consultant Centre) LASIK in Mississauga, Ontario. He also holds responsibilities as the director of clinical research at the OCC Lasik-affiliated Canadian Centre for Advanced Eye Therapeutics.
