Dr. Joseph Starkman

Dr. Joseph Starkman, an osteopathic and family medicine physician in Chicago, draws on a diverse professional background. He leads as the founding physician of North Shore Osteopathic Healthcare, LLC, which he operates while providing services at two holistic and naturalistic practices in the Chicago area. An affiliate of the Northshore University Health System, Dr. Joseph Starkman balances a focus on biodynamic cranial osteopathy with balanced ligamentous tension and myofascial release techniques and the integration of nutritional supplementation. A certified Bodytalk practitioner, he also draws on extensive training in Tai Chi and Qigong.

Actively involved in the osteopathic community, Dr. Joseph Starkman founded Midwestern University's Integrative Medicine Club while working toward his doctor of osteopathy in the mid-2000s. During that time, he spearheaded events, workshops, and classes, including an introductory Reiki class that he co-taught with colleague Thor Agustsson. Also the coordinator of Integrate Chicago in 2008, Dr. Starkman remains actively involved with a number of professional organizations, among them the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
