Dr. Marc Herman

A practicing dentist and teacher, Dr. Marc Herman owns and operates the Advanced Dentistry of Long Island dental office, located in Woodbury, New York, and is also a member of faculty at North Shore Hospital. Dr. Herman has practiced dentistry for more than 30 years, offering his patients a complete list of dental care services through his dental office. These include but are not limited to preventative care, such as cleanings, x-rays, and exams; a range of cosmetic dentistry treatments, including teeth whitening and dentures; sinus lifts; orthodontic treatments; and treatments for temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders.

Providing a mercury-free dental office, Dr. Marc Herman prides himself on utilizing cutting-edge technology and other advancements in the field of dentistry, such as the application of holistic dentistry. Dr. Herman's approach to dental care centers on long-term care, and he aims to treat the root of the problem as well as the symptoms.

Living on Long Island, Dr. Marc Herman and his wife of 35 years have three sons. He graduated from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Science in 1979, and he was admitted to the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship in 1985.

Dr. Marc Herman's recent awards include the 2012 America's Top Dentists Award for Cosmetic Dentistry & Esthetic Restorations and the 2012 Talk of the Town Award for Excellence in Patient Satisfaction. Currently, Dr. Herman is pursuing a Masters of Health Care Ethics at Creighton University School of Medicine, and he is scheduled to graduate in 2013.
