Paul J. Saba, MD

Dr. Paul Saba is a family physician in Lachine, Quebec and President of the Coalition for Physicians for Social Justice, a physicians grassroots organization that has as its mandate to advocate for health issues that affect the poor, the elderly and those suffering from mental health illness.

The Coalition has been involved in supporting, among others, the following causes:

• Providing free medication for those living below the poverty line
• Educational conferences on malnutrition in the elderly
• Integrated Eating Assistance Program
• Producer of the Cross Canada Walk for Health, 2001-2003 - promoting healthy lifestyles for children
• Producer of the Good Samaritan Commission - supporting an accessible public healthcare system for all
