Edgar Mendez Montoya

Edgar Mendez Montoya founded Comercializadora EDME in 2007 to provide customers with high-quality steel construction products. Under his leadership, EDME has grown into one of the most prominent trading companies selling steel products in the Cancun region. Edgar Mendez Montoya hopes that EDME not only achieves commercial success, but that it promotes the further development and values of his community.

With the support of Deacero S.A. de C.V., one of the largest manufacturers of steel worldwide, Mr. Montoya and EDME are able to offer clients exceptional steel products at competitive prices. Products that are available to customers include rods, mesh, nails, wire, clamps, and bars.

Mr. Montoya completed finance and business administration courses at Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). From 2010 to 2012, he attended the PanAmerican Institute for High Business Direction (IPADE), where he completed the senior executive course.

When he is not working, he enjoys playing soccer and tennis. Passionate about running in marathons, he participated in the Miami ING marathon in 2010. In addition to sports, he enjoys traveling to different countries and learning about their culture. An avid reader, he lists Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Octavio Paz as among his favorite authors.
