Edgerton Hospital

Edgerton,

From its establishment in 1920 as a two-story home care center managed by Edith Lockwood, a registered nurse, Edgerton Hospital has seen remarkable expansion and growth over the last 94 years. The critical access hospital was newly established in 2011, containing 18 beds and round-the-clock specialized and emergency-response care. Various clinic locations around Edgerton provide extended medical services, including geriatrics, pediatrics, ophthalmology, neurology, and cardiology. The hospital is affiliated with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin.

In 2013, Edgerton Hospital and Health Services was awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, recognized for its high standards of safety and quality. In the same year, the hospital was deemed a “fit-friendly worksite” by the American Heart Association, acknowledging efforts by the hospital to promote healthy nutrition, physical exercise, and a wellness culture onsite.

In addition to rehabilitation, diagnostic services, inpatient and outpatient care, and surgical procedures, Edgerton Hospital makes community education available to the general public on the hospital grounds, including exercise classes, discussions, lectures, nutritional programs, and cooking courses.
