Elaine Tsai

I'm an explorer in the world of technology, design, and social change.

Currently, I am learning to play with codes (Ruby, HTML, SQL) and supporting socially-driven organizations while I hunt for tech-related jobs that disrupt the world. I volunteer at Public Architecture as Program Associate of The 1% where I help strengthen the pro-bono experience for designers. I am also deeply involved in the SFRuby and Women Who Code community, running study groups for beginner programmers like myself as well as promoting events to change the ratio.

Previously, I founded the CA$H Coalition chapter atBowdoin College, a volunteer income tax assistance program, and have been recognized by Maine Campus Compact. I have also studied abroad in Jordan to learn Arabic and uncover the impact of economic development on Muslim culture. Before all this, I grew up as a third cultured kid splitting my time between Taipei and NYC and traveling around South East Asia to compete in sports.
