I am a poor first generation Jamaican immigrant whose experiences and accomplishments are similar to the stories of many unmarked graves. I call these people who are long gone the real heroes whose names will never be remembered. They are the ones who paved the way for me and others to get an education.

My new blog magazine (blog site), Failure to Listen, is a tribute to those generations of unmarked graves occupied by people of color, whose ultimate sacrifice of life opened the doors for me.

Failure to Listen, at https://failuretolisten.com/ , is the beginning of my appreciation for their sacrifices. By sharing my personal and professional experiences, I hope to do justice to the perspectives of the underdogs, the disadvantaged, and the people who are rarely heard or listened to. This site is not to incite anger but rather to provoke thought.

This is social media! Let's use it to start positive dialogues appreciating our differences because those differences connect us like pieces of a puzzle. We are not the same!
