Feleciana Stevenson

Dance Director, Curriculum Specialist, and Curriculum and Instruction in San Francisco, California

Born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula, Feleciana has been dancing and performing since the ripe age of 7 years old. She started dancing with the Freightman Children's Dance Company, where she concentrated on learning jazz and african dance techniques. In high school she landed her first professional role in the musical "Little Shop of Horrors." While performing in musical and dance productions she continued her education, hoping to one day become a teacher. After going to San Francisco State University and getting her degree in dance and drama (with an emphasis in education), she was able to get her teaching credential to do just that. She was lucky enough to get a great position at El Camino High School in South San Francisco as a full time dance instructor, teaching 5 classes a day loving what she does and her students. She also has a love for hooping, where she was trained by the creator of Hoopgirl, Christabel Zamor, and is a licensed Hoopdance instructor. Continuing her learning, with the goal of providing a safe and loving learning environment for her students, she dove into mindfulness and social emotional learning. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (200+) with the Yoga Alliance specializing in mindfulness and sound therapy. She is also certified and accredited by "The Pulse Teacher's Workshop" of Broadway Dance Center in New York City, where she has taken class with the likes of Wade Robson, Cris Judd, Debbie Wilson, Tyce Diorio, and Gil Duldulao. Feleciana continues to perform and take classes throughout the country to enrich her craft and instrument.
