I am passionate about the use of technology in education and interested in evaluating its effects on learners, staff and the workplace. As such I am currently undertaking a Masters in Education by Research through UTS. My research focuses on technology in education and the transfer of learning to the workplace. For the last two years I have been on secondment as the NSW E-learning Advisor for the National VET E-Learning Strategy. This role provides strategic advice, support and e-capability building services to the NSW Vocational Education and Training Sector. Prior to this role I was the NSW E-Learning Innovations Coordinator administering a $1.4 million grant program that was allocated to NSW annually to support registered training organisations (RTOs) to tailor their services to a more diverse range of learner needs through the implementation of innovative e-learning practices.

I also work for TAFE Customer Support as a Project Manager for VLE projects. Some of the projects I have managed have included the 2013 EQUELLA Review project and the rollout and implementation of SkillsLocker a web based e-portfolio application.

My background is as a Head Teacher of Business, Administration and Information Technology for TAFE NSW. My employment with TAFE NSW has provided me with quite a diverse skill set and experiences ranging from coordinating ISO Audits, convening part-time teacher recruitment, managing Faculty and Quality Unit projects as well as managing teaching sections where I have been the only fulltime staff member in a small country campus through to managing larger city sections.

When I am not working I love to enjoy our beautiful country and as you can see by my picture I am a bit of a waterfall hunter :-), well that's just one of the names my family and friends have for me LOL.
