Graeme Queen

As senior director of information technology (IT) solution delivery, Graeme Queen serves Standard Insurance Company, a business based in Portland, Oregon. In his leadership role, he oversees a team of managers and works closely with important business units, including employee benefits and individual disability. Before being promoted to his current position, Graeme Queen supported Standard Insurance as director of IT core engineering, a job that required he design operating models for newly acquired technologies and improve engineering processes.

When not working, Graeme Queen stays physically active by running and has participated in events ranging from 5K races to marathons. He is working on improving his time so as to qualify as a runner in the Boston Marathon. In terms of entertainment, Mr. Queen enjoys watching popular television shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Wire. Further, he reads science-related nonfiction, and is currently reading the Infinity Puzzle by Frank Close and The Strangest Man by Graham Farmelo.

Mr. Queen gives back to his community by contributing to education and health nonprofit groups.
