Hayong Burke

A graduate of the World Vision College of Cosmetology located in Oakland, California, Hayong Burke began her career as a beautician working for the national salon chain, SuperCuts. As a stylist with company's Walnut Creek location, Ms. Burke provided a number of cutting, waxing, and coloring services to a wide range of clients that included men, women, and children, while also selling and explaining how to use company hair care products. Hayong Burke earned her coloring and waxing certification while at SuperCuts, prior to moving on to the La Costa Resort and Spa in 2005.

Hayong Burke had the opportunity to study under industry icon Billy Yamaguchi during her time as a Cosmetologist and Hair Stylist at the La Costa Resort. Credited as one of the first stylists to incorporate feng shui principals into modern hairdressing techniques, Mr. Yamaguchi's salon offered guests a unique experience centered around the five basic elements: fire, earth, water, metal, and wood. Under Mr. Yamaguchi's tutelage, Ms. Burke completed classes offered at the resort, and earned her Schwarzkopf Hair Care Professional certification.

In 2009, Ms. Burke began working as a Cosmetologist and Hair Stylist with Tresmas Salon, Inc., in Reno, Nevada. At Tresmas, Hayong Burke provided clients with image consultations to determine what look would best suit their personality and lifestyle, sold high-end hair care products, and ensured that all of her client's needs were met. Ms. Burke also completed classes at both Goldwell and KMS California in advanced hair coloring and styling.

Prior to starting her career as a beautician, Hayong Burke worked as a Sales and Marketing Assistant at DFI, Inc., a computer hardware design firm. Ms. Burke's position required processing sales orders, making global travel arrangements for the company's vice president, and maintaining client records.

When away from work, Hayong Burke enjoys spending time with her children and volunteering to help individuals with special needs.
