Henry Winterstern

Henry Winterstern has more than two decades of business and creative experience in the movie and financial industries. He is known for his innovative and artistic accomplishments as a producer and distributor of independent films. Henry Winterstern's credits include popular films such as Underworld; Underworld: Evolution; Underworld: Rise of the Lycans; Thick as Thieves; and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. Winterstern has received recognition for his work, including a 2007 nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature for his work on The Dead Girl.

Winterstern also played a role in the merger between his Capital Entertainment company and First Look Media. He served as cochairman of First Look Studios following the merger in 2005 and oversaw the combining of the entertainment assets of the two companies, which created an independent studio platform focused on home entertainment, film development, theatrical distribution, and foreign sales. During his time with the company, First Look's library grew to nearly 700 titles with the acquisition of DEJ Productions. Since the merger, the company has released such popular films as the Australian box office hit, The Proposition, and the Spirit and Gotham Award nominee A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints.

In addition to his work with First Look Studios, Winterstern has served as a board member for several cultural and business organizations, including Dick Clark Productions, MGM Studios, Mosaic Media, Wet Seal Inc., and the Consoltex Group Inc.
