My name is Htet Tayza and I’m a young hospitality enthusiast from Myanmar. I was born in Yangon, Myanmar twenty-four years ago. I have a keen interest in business, cuisine, lifestyle and philanthropy.

I traveled to neighbouring Singapore to receive my education at the reputable Tanglin Trust School. In 2011 I decided to travel further afield to enroll at the world’s top rated hotel school – Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). My efforts at the school to obtain a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management and a five month internship at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong have inspired me to branch out into the field of hospitality and in October last year me and my business partner Jeremy opened our first establishment; The Escape Gastro Bar in Yangon.

Dedicated to providing top notch fusion cuisine and designer cocktails, Escape has only fuelled my desire to bring first rate hospitality to Myanmar.

I am also Co-Founder of Wisper, an app made for sharing life's moments - including photos, videos and audio.

Most recently, I took on the position of Managing Director at Asia Green Development Bank, one of Myanmar's largest commercial banks.
