AJ Williams

AJ Williams: Digital Editor/Social Media Manager/Columnist/Writer for the Michigan Chronicle and former Relationship & Dating columnist for FRONTPAGE Detroit. She's a local media personality who has worked with Mason Radio on 107.5 FM, host of The MIXX TV Show with UDetroit and producer of the "The LovEXperience Series for ARCH Executives. Under her personal brand "I AM AJ Williams" she's an actress, talk show host, emcee and freelance writer.

AJ is the Creator and Blogger-in-Chief at SingleBlackChick.com a personal blog/website where AJ shares her candid take on relationships, life and love using her dating life as a platform to empowering black women to embrace their skin, sexuality, soul and personal journey.

AJ has always had a passion for empowering women, especially the portrayal of women in media. From this passion AJ started her own media production company. A.Willa Media is named after one of her biggest inspiration, her grandmother. A.Willa Media's mission is to produce innovative content that engages, empowers and starts a conversation with a specialized focus on women.

Prior to her current endeavors in media, she pursued a career in finance as a personal investment banker. She has served with several non-profit organization which includes, The Young Bankers Club and Chairperson for the UFSC Urban Bankers Annual Scholarship Gala. Her achievements have been recognized by the Michigan FrontPAGE as a FP Thirty Honoree 2010, which highlights rising young professionals under 40 and also as a Honoree in Who's Who of Black Detroit 2011.

A DPS Pershing High School graduate, Williams pursued a Bachelor Degree from the University of Michigan and has received her Broadcasting/Radio accreditation with Specs Howard School of Media Arts. She is currently attending Rochester College to master Mass Communications. In addition she is completing her debut book: Single's The New Black: A Single Black Chick's Guide To Life & Love!
