Andrew West is a seasoned senior IT executive with over 25 years of experience leading enterprise-wide technology initiatives and managing multimillion-dollar portfolios. As the Senior Director of Information Technology at Texas A&M University, he drives innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation across complex environments.

Andrew’s career spans leadership roles at CNN, Verizon, Capital One, Shell Oil, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Berkshire Hathaway, Entergy, Dillard University, and New Orleans Charter Schools. His expertise includes mobile app deployment, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, digital strategy, IT governance, network architecture, and data center operations.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and has completed prestigious executive programs, including the HIVE Global Leaders Program at Harvard Innovation Lab, the MIT Innovation & Technology Cohort, and Tulane’s Global Leadership Program. He’s also a Fall 2023 participant in Carnegie Mellon’s CIO Executive Education Cohort and a current Next Leaders Fellow (NLF).

Andrew is a proud member of the Microsoft IT Manager Advisory Council and an active contributor to the Microsoft Learning AI Initiative, bringing thought leadership to the evolving role of AI in enterprise environments. He is also the Vice Polemarch of the North Houston chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where he leads strategic community and leadership initiatives.

Fluent in Spanish through studies at Madrid’s Enforex Language School, Andrew brings a global perspective to his work.
