My name is Vincent and I'm a twenty-something Massachusetts native. I graduated from Brown University in 2012 with an Sc.B. (Hons) in Neuroscience. As an undergraduate, I worked in the lab of Wayne Bowen, investigating how sigma-2 receptors (σ2R) regulate cell proliferation and cell death through calcium signals and sphingolipids. Outside of research, I am interested in science outreach as well as citizen science and the DIY ethic that propels it. In the Summer of 2010 I worked as a STEM education intern at the MIT Museum, where I developed, prototyped, and performed science demos and hands-on activities with school groups and the general public to engage them in science. While I wait for Obama's multibillion dollar BRAIN Initiative to trickle down to me and my postgrad work, I'm experimenting with various media platforms (audio, visual, print) to promote the sciences. Check out some of my work below! (Work in progress. Stay tuned!)
