If you really want to know what makes me tick...
Talk to me about architecture, design, archaeology, astronomy, spirituality... or the textures that make any of these up...
Ask me how I dream of making a difference, and how I dare to worry less about making a living.
Show me a place I've never been, and allow me to look at it from every angle... and expect me to ask the questions I shouldn't. I seek the truth and beauty always. Sometimes I find that both are hiding in plain sight of things that appear ugly at first glance.
I love what I do. I also love that what YOU do makes me do what I do better. So expect me to delve in to what you do and why you love it. I hope to learn something.
I am hungry to grow and to share. I collect experience like some people collect art... or 17th century weaponry... or snowglobes... and whether its giving a TED or Pecha Kucha talk, teaching a class on Simplifying your life with Feng Shui at a weekend music event like the Dreamtime festival, giving a series of free themed architectural walking tours for the Arts and Culture District, helping a troop of girl scouts earn their Architecture badge, or teaching my local community groups how to build their own vermicomposting bins... I love when I can share what I have learned so far. I love to see what the people I am supposed to be teaching have to teach me too.
I'm committed to helping communities, especially MY community, thrive! I work to preserve water, landscape, and architectural resources and to educate people as to why it matters to do so. I am conscious about where I put my money and I try to keep it local. I support local agriculture and food traditions. I support local organizations through work, cash, and sweat equity.
I believe we can all make a difference and be happier and healthier as a result. I believe we can start today.
I am an ENTJ and a sparkplug. I love to watch the things around me shine. I help when I can.
